I love a creative challenge. I'm inspired by everyday things that most people would walk right on by. Anything with a history always catches my eye.
I bought an old 1920s bridal portrait from a woman named Ida at the flea market and commented on how beautiful the bride was. She said the woman in the portrait was her daughter.
Then, without missing a beat she says to me,
"Yea she was a beautiful bride but she married a rat bastard!"
To this day this is still my favorite of all my antique photos because of what Ida said.
