Who would love me the way my mother does? The answer, no one. A mother's love is like no other, but then again, so is a daughter's love of her mother. It made me think, if I had children of my own, I would hope I would get every test, every mammogram, every pap, every colon screeen, and every test possible to be there for my children as long as possible. I believe my mother has done this for herself and for my brother and I. I am guilty until today for not telling my mother how much she means to me. That changes today. |

You make such an important point, Cindy! We must always make sure the ones we love know how much they mean to us. I'm so sorry your friend has had bad news :-( Best wishes from across the pond

Cindy,
I lost my Mom last year at the age of 67. She was my best friend in the whole world...I miss her more than I could ever tell you. The reason I am writing this is because my Mom was so afraid to go to the doctors that she would not go. I asked her just 2 days before she passed if she would rather die then go to the doctors and her answer was yes. I am sure if she knew she was going to have a massive heart attack 2 days later her answer would have been get me to the doctors right now!
A part of me is now gone and I can never get it back. Thank you for this post and to everyone out there please listen to Cindy and get to your doctor and get your test done. There is not a day that goes by that I dont cry for my mother. Thank you again for this post.

What a beautiful post! My Mom died of a massive stroke on Dec. 1, 2008 ad it was the most devastating day of my life. Just as you said, there is no one like our Moms. I got through my Mom's death but I will never get over it.
Enjoy each day you have because life is so uncertain.
Blessings!
What a great reminder my friend!!!! I am going to call my mom and tell her I love her right now!!!! We do all need to make time to do those things we may not enjoy, but are important to our health. Have a wonderful week Cindy! Luv ya!

Love your blog Cindy, and your post is so special!! Thanks for the reminder of how blessed those of us are that still have our mom's with us!! My mom lives with me and my hubby, and sometimes it drives me "nutty"....I guess you could say to much togetherness some days.....but my life would not be the same without her! Hugs..Cathy
