She had a way of looking sexy, without looking too sexy. Women wanted to be her and men wanted to marry her. Well she did marry, three times! Oh well I guess she was just looking for the right one. |

You sweet girl, you remind me of her!! Just because you are so happy and spread that joy everywhere you go ~ now you've made me want to go watch a few Doris Day movies...I love a good movie! love you much, Dawn
ReplyDeleteOMG....have not seen a DD movie in ages. I agree with you, she really has a way of making us HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more Cindy! My Mom loved Doris Day and I grew up watching all her movies. Whether it was real or not there was a sweet silly innocence at that time and she epitomized it! To this day I still try to carry that way of being and try to only watch movies with happy endings. I am an old fashioned girl in the tradition of Doris Day and I am happy for it! I even have more animals than her!!! However I am so glad for spandex and running bras!!!!
ReplyDeleteI also agree with "The Feathered Nest" in that you really do remind me of her, of that time.
Here's looking cross eyed at ya!
Furry Love,
Tricia
We were just talking about Doris Day at lunch yesterday! I love her, too. Her movies are on my Amazon wish list.
ReplyDeletequantas palavras doces... eu também amo Doris Day e toda sua simplicidade! beijos!
ReplyDeleteI've loved Doris forever, and like the song she sings in "Love Me or Leave Me": Doris - "I'll Never Stop Loving You."
ReplyDeleteI love Doris Day too. In fact I am watching a Doris Day movie right now. The Man Who Knew To much, with James Stewart.
ReplyDeleteShe is def under-rated, an amazing talent. I watched the Doris Day show all the time (it ran from 1968 to 1973).
