In Memory of Moses

In Memory of Moses
200?-2011
We lost sweet moses this past weekend. His enlarged heart and wild tom cat days before he came to us, made him leave us all to soon. What is it about animals that can heal a broken heart , dry our tears and make us smile on the worst of days?
For Moses:

The Rainbow Bridge Poem
Just this side of heaven is a place called the Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to the Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.
The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head. You look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together…

Oh sweet girl I wish I could give you a HUGE HUG & make the OUCH go away. Our little fur babies give us so much joy while they are here & such pain when they leave us! Moses had a good life with YOU! That's why he picked YOU! Life before you was hard for him & you made his world better. Hold all the sweet in your heart. LOVE YOU girlfriend!

Oh Cindy, my heart breaks for you. I posted last week for our beloved dog Duffy who we lost on Dec. 6th. I also took comfort in the poem "The Rainbow Bridge." Maybe Duffy and Moses are running around together with their other friends.

So sorry,
Sue

I'm sorry for your loss Cindy. Moses I'm sure was a lucky Tom, to have found his way into your home, and heart for the years that you had him. I am a cat lover too, and have two of them.
I hope his memory lives on for you.

Oh Dear Cindy... I just stopped by your blog and read about Moses. They just insert themselves into all the nooks and crannies of your heart and completely wrap you around their tail! It is so tough when they leave. I am so glad he had a happy life with you after his wild Tom days. He was one of the lucky ones. Bless you. My thoughts are with you, I understand how hard it is!
