Hico Antique Show

What a great day in Hico, Texas! I met my friend Kristi Day and we shopped until it was time for pie at the Koffee Kup Kafe, Yum. I won't carry on about all the photos, I just wanted to share!
If you ever have a chance to go, please do.
Small towns like Hico are trying to stay alive and events
like this help.
Enjoy the pics!

The smallest shopper there! She was only 10 days old!

Thanks for stopping by!

Velma and Madge were the best of friends......

Velma and Madge were best friends forever
through thick and thin, in all kinds of weather.
They were showgirls for life, there was nothing better,
Their costumes designed, usually with feathers.
They're thick as thieves their mothers would say,
You can't tear them apart to this very day.
They've lived the bright lights, the glamour a must,
But today they're content without all the fuss.
True friends till the end they say with smiles beaming,
on each others shoulders, they'll always be leaning.

Dedicated to all my wonderful caring friends who hold my heart.

50 Shades of Gray ~ The Parkinson's Brain

I had to laugh as I looked through the best sellers at the book store and there sat "Fifty Shades of Gray." First I wanted to barf because I think the books are trash, and then I started to laugh!
People with Parkinson's have brains that are 50 shades of gray!

I assume as a cell dies in our brains that it turns a darker of shade of gray so there's no telling how many shades of gray we have in our brains. I mean the Parkinson's "ribbon" is even gray. I wonder if we could make t-shirts that say something like,
"Help fight PD 50 shades of gray", or "I live 50 shades of gray".

Maybe the author could donate a percentage of her book sales to brain or Parkinson's research!
Then we could say,
"We found the cure through 50 shades of gray!
Just a funny thought.

Bridesmaid's Hell

There's an awful place called Bridesmaid's Hell,
I've been there myself, does this ring any bells???
"You can wear it again, the look is timeless",
we all shook our heads and said "Yes your highness".
Our role as a maid is suppose to be fun but,
when these dresses come out, we were all on the run!
At the time the poor bride thought she had the upmost taste,
little did she know we burned them with haste!
I know the bride is the the star of the show,
but these purple get-ups practically glow!

I've been there myself and inflicted the same pain,
My poor maids wore pink and the dresses home made.
They were as ugly as sin and covered in lace
So, I can't really judge these brides for their poor taste!
